Q Division
TACTICAL PISTOL CONCEPTS LE/MIL - SEPT 19-20 (Brooks Pistol Club)
DETAILS:
Duration: 2 days (16 hours)
Cost: $500 per student
Capacity: 12-18 students
DESCRIPTION:
The pistol is the primary weapon system for most law enforcement officers throughout the world; due to its minimal footprint and accessibility. As such, officers should be trained to the highest level of proficiency in this platform as it is always guaranteed to be with them. This program further develops and challenges current paradigms on the most efficient way to use the pistol in a modern policing environment.
OUTLINE:
The course will begin in the classroom and include a brief lecture and group discussions regarding the current Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) used by the various departments, as well as their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
It will then transition to the range where a practical review of pistol fundamentals will be assessed, as well as shooter safety and ability. This will be followed by a performance driven approach to improve accuracy and speed, weapon manipulations and malfunctions, weapon mounted and handheld lighting techniques, as well as movement, target discrimination and communication.
Students will leave with numerous dry and live fire training activities to implement for their own personal improvement, post course completion.
